One of you suggested me that I could open a piggy bank to let amazing backers help me go through this post-robbery period but I don’t know feel confortable to ask for it now because I don’t know if the insurance will cover all the damages or not yet.
It true that this theft from my studio put me in a financial strain to finish this project and also on another projet - some silicone pieces I am working on. I am dealing with the insurance company right now to be compensated. I don’t know how much they will.
For now, I don’t feel secure in this studio right now, because of the buildings demolitions that started nearby make it really easy to break inside. I was not aware that il would happen when I moved in my studio a year ago. Now, I’ve started to look for a new place but still haven’t find anything right for me.
I might have to rent a studio from someone’s while I am searching, so I can complete the work.
Anyway, we’re going to make it !

The good news:
Matt Sanderson and I work with HPLHS on the sound files. We organize the session with actors in their studio in Los Angeles to record the audios ;)
The ( very) bad news:
My studio was robbed last Sunday. Because the studio nearby is now empty before a demolition, my space is more accessible for anyone who wants to break in.
They stole my airbrush and unfortunately ALL the 50 loudspeakers for each Idol of Cthulhu!! I collapsed when I realised this... they also took my radio, some jewels I made for the Masks of Nyarlathotep, my jig saw and my drill..
I filed a complaint to the police and will send all my invoices to the insurance. I hope to get a descent refund!..anyway you will get eventually your Idol with the audio équipement. It might takes some time to get the money needed to buy the speakers though (€620)
I am so sorry guys!
I’ve moved all my sculptures in my neighbor’s garage. I don’t know if the thieves won’t come back (even if I am pretty sure they are not Cthulhu lovers)

Hello!
I’ve been doing some new casts of the Idol with some polyester plaster. I think the texture is much better than the polyurethane’s.
The Idol is warmer in the hand and the stone feeling is present. Also I would be able to use acrylic painting or acrylic medium with pigments. It’s one of my priority to find alternatives to toxic paintings.
I have to leave my studio at the beginning of October and I haven’t find the good place yet and until I do, I will focus on the illustrations of the scenario.
Concerning the sound effects, HPLHS should answer me soon about how many recordings they will be able to make for our audio files.

Hello!
Here is what the Idol of Cthulhu looks like.
I used some PolyUrethane varnish for the patina- the piece itself is made of PU-
I like the colors of it but the feeling of the PU is too much present for such an idol.
So I will use some polyester plaster, much closer to a stone effect. Therefore, the patina won’t be that shinny.
I’ll made a new cast next week.
I also started to work on the illustrations. Matt has created a true paranoid atmosphere and his care for details is very helpful. As soon as I read the first pages, I was hooked.
Sadly at this point, I can tell you that we won’t be ready to send your pledges in September. I am planning November at the least.

Hi everyone,
I thought I should share with you some pix of the Cthulhu casting before I finish to paint the first copy.
It has been a pretty challenging job but after 70 hours, it’s done. It’s an artisanal style method, quite meticulous.
I can’t wait to show you the final version of Cthulhu!
